Croply app shown on a phone

Croply

Croply is a mobile farm management system that brings crop monitoring, worker coordination, and real-time plant alerts into a single interface.

The project focused on making dense field data usable during everyday work — on a phone, outdoors, between tasks.

Understanding the Market

We analyzed existing farm management platforms to understand how they approach crop monitoring, worker management, tasks, and field data.

Our research revealed a common challenge: while many platforms offer powerful features, they can be complex, data-heavy, and difficult to use during everyday field work.

Finding the Gap

One farm. Too many things to manage. Farm managers need to coordinate workers, monitor plant conditions, respond to issues, and control different farm systems throughout the day.

How might we bring all of these operations into one clear and accessible mobile experience?

User Insights

We focused on two key users with very different needs: the farm manager, who needs a clear overview of the entire operation, and the field worker, who needs fast and simple access to daily tasks.

The Solution

Through user interviews, we identified two key users with different needs: the farm manager, who needs a clear overview of the entire operation, and the field worker, who needs fast and simple access to daily tasks.

For field workers, the experience stays focused and simple, surfacing what needs attention without overwhelming them with unnecessary information.
